Keep Hope Moving

As temperatures drop across the Appalachian Mountains, families are preparing for a long winter. Heating a poorly insulated home can stretch an already tight budget. Children need coats and warm clothes. Parents are thinking about Thanksgiving dinner and wondering what Christmas will look like.

Between October 1st and December 24, we need to move at least 25 trucks carrying supplies to the communities we serve. That is our minimum. We expect the need to grow and will likely send more. The final scheduled truck before Christmas will carry toys to children in West Virginia.

It costs an average of $850 to move one truck. We need to raise at least $21,250 for transportation alone to move the first 25 truckloads. At the same time, our team must remain ready to dispatch within hours when a natural disaster strikes, bringing emergency supplies and hot meals to communities in need.

That’s why we’re launching Keep Hope Moving today. Your gift helps get supplies on the road and into the hands of Appalachian children and families.

Will you help move a truck? Give $850 to cover one truck, or make a gift of any amount toward this growing need.
